ScottForge is a one-person IT shop in Youngstown, Ohio, operated by Tom Scott. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and your engagement with ScottForge services. By contacting ScottForge or submitting an inquiry through this website, you agree to these terms.
Use of this website
This website is provided for informational purposes. You agree to use it only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment of the website. You agree not to harass or cause distress or inconvenience to any person.
Services and engagement
ScottForge provides IT consulting, automation, and web development services to small businesses. All engagements begin with a free 30-minute conversation to understand your needs. Any paid work is governed by a separate, written proposal and agreement.
Nothing on this website constitutes an offer of services, an acceptance of an offer, or the formation of a contract unless and until a written agreement is signed by both parties.
Text messaging (SMS) terms
If you provide your phone number and consent to receive text messages, ScottForge may send you messages about your inquiry, project updates, appointment reminders, and other service-related communications. You are responsible for notifying ScottForge of any changes to your phone number.
Frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on the nature of your inquiry and ongoing work. There is no set schedule.
Costs. Standard message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. ScottForge does not charge for messages, but your carrier may.
Opting out. You can opt out of text messages at any time by texting 'STOP' to (330) 333-7969, or by telling us directly. Once you opt out, we will stop texting you, though transactional messages required to complete a service you've requested may still be sent.
Message storage. Your phone number and the contents of text messages are stored by OpenPhone, our SMS service provider, which is a third party with its own privacy practices. For details, see our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
This website and the information contained on it are provided on an "as is" basis. ScottForge makes no representations or warranties about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or timeliness of the information. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScottForge disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
In no event will ScottForge be liable for any damages arising from your use of this website or any services, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, even if ScottForge has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
